Safeguarding Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Our Commitment
Rishi Coaches is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults who use our services. We believe every individual has the right to be protected from harm, abuse, and neglect.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all services delivered by Rishi Coaches, including 1:1 sessions, group programs, workshops, school partnerships, and digital interactions.
3. Code of Conduct
All interactions are conducted with professionalism, respect, and appropriate boundaries. Sessions are held in safe, appropriate environments (in-person) or via secure video platforms (online). Physical contact is not part of our services. Communications are conducted through professional channels only.
4. Confidentiality and Its Limits
Session content is confidential. However, confidentiality will be breached if: there is a risk of serious harm to the young person or others, there is disclosure of abuse or neglect, or we are required by law to disclose information. In such cases, we will inform the appropriate authorities and, where possible, inform the young person beforehand.
5. Recognizing Signs of Harm
We are trained to recognize signs of: physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, cyberbullying, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. If we identify any of these signs, we follow our reporting procedure.
6. Reporting Procedure
If a safeguarding concern arises: the concern is documented immediately, the appropriate authorities are contacted (local child protection services or police), and parents/guardians are informed unless doing so would put the young person at further risk. A written record is maintained securely.
7. Emergency Contacts and Helplines
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact emergency services (police or ambulance).
